Sarah Goodnough moved to Oregon in 1997 from Massillon, Ohio. She resides in Portland and Astoria, getting the best of both big city culture and quaint coastal town charm. Her work is inspired by the human spirit and nature's splendor, she finds the Pacific Northwest to be an abundant source for this inspiration. Goodnough's Salmon Series was influenced by Astoria's rich salmon fishing history, and her Boat & Bridge Series and tree paintings were inspired by views from Astoria's scenic waterfront. She is currently focusing her creativity on more work that reflects the Northwest, and also on projects that empower people to live extraordinary lives.
