Cannon Beach Puttz Returns

On Tuesday, May 20th, from Noon to 5pm, Tolovana Arts Colony hosts its second annual thoroughly unprofessional golf tournament. With the help of local businesses, volunteers and the City of Cannon Beach, nine greens will be set up throughout the village from the north end to Tolovana Park. Beginning at noon at the City Park, foursomes of golfers will putt on greens designed by local artists. Each hole will be sponsored and hosted by a local business with a volunteer scorekeeper in attendance. Putters will be available and green fees for all nine holes will be $15 per golfer. Participation will be limited to 20 foursomes. To reserve a tee time, call Billy Hults at 503.436.2868. Prizes will be awarded for best scores. Style, or lack of it, will count. A large raffle will be held at 6pm at the tenth hole at the American Legion. Raffle tickets will be $2 each, three for $5, or seven for $10 and will be available at the American Legion and various businesses around town.
Golfers are encouraged to dress in their most artistic and unlikely golfing togs. A chance to be silly, have some fun and support arts and community in Cannon Beach before the serious work of summer begins.
Tolovana Arts Colony is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to art, education and community offering classes, workshops and events designed not only to teach the arts but to strengthen the bonds of community through shared experience.
