Andrew Cier’s most notable and nationally recognized photograph, “Ocian In View,” is the basis for the Bicentennial Nickel of the same title, his contribution is recognized by the US Mint on their website. His photography has been published nationally, appearing in numerous books, calendars, regional guides, posters, brochures and postcards. His mood evoking imagery encompasses architecture, landscape, portrait, illustration, still life and fine art photographs. Magazine credits include Newsweek, Flyfishing, Fly Fisherman, Boating, American History Illustrated, Friendly Exchange and Country Inns Bed & Breakfast. He has documented historic buildings for nominations to the National Register of Historic Places. Cier’s work was included in the Oregon State Capitol Exhibit for the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial. His photography career includes extensive work for the National Park Service & Fort Clatsop National Memorial, photographing the Northwest Lewis and Clark territory.
