The soul of a poet, a singer...a painter. Then it all came together in a new medium- photography.
Last spring I borrowed a little camera from an eight-year old friend. During the days Dominque loaned it to me, it was incredible - as if a light turned on in my head. Suddenly, I ran around mesmerized by a fresh perspective of beauty, dancing in excitement capturing the peace, the serenity and power of the ocean at sunset, the way the raindrops sparkled on a branch, the way my children looked with the sun shining behind them while playing. Talk about being inspired! It is amazing the way colors contrast or naturally come together…blending to create impressions and feelings like nothing else.
Providing the exact representation of true lighting, the actual hues of the sunrise, sunset or reflections on the water is one way I work to give testimony to the Greatest Artist, our Creator. It is so much better without manipulating the images, not 'enhancing' them or changing what seems to be there. Just capturing the gift we’re given, a smile, or moment of honesty or love, caught in the natural way it is presented offers rewards beyond compare. More than words can express...guess that means enough said.
As a writer this unbridled enthusiasm seems to tumble out, falling all over in a jumble of words and excitement- splatting in shades of smokey plum and soft Tuscan yellow.
